Retreats & Restorative Experiences

We offer team retreats and relationship building activities that support the team to build authentic relationships and build capacity for building trust across lines of racial, ethnic, and cultural differences. We also offer restorative experiences and training around restorative models that help teams who have experienced harm in their relationships at work to process the harm and decide together what is needed to maintain their relationship and move forward together.

Team Retreats & Restorative Experiences 

We help teams find their way back to each other

We support organizations to infuse the four principles of liberation into their relationships at work. We offer restorative sessions and trainings to build restorative practices within organizations, as well as retreat experiences for teams that have experienced a rupture or breech that has led to distrust. We do this through:

  • Restorative Retreats: We provide a full-day in person retreat experience for teams that have experienced a rupture or breech that has led to distrust. Teams will process what led to the rupture and determine what is necessary to move forward together. At the end of the retreat, teams will walk away with an action plan to repair harm.

  • Restorative Conversations: We facilitate virtual or in person restorative conversations for small groups help teams who have experienced harm in their relationships at work to process the harm and decide together what is needed to maintain their relationship and move forward together. We begin by meeting with and preparing team members and witnesses to engage in the restorative circle. At the end of the conversation, teams will walk away with commitments to repair harm.

Additionally, we support teams through: 

  • Restorative Practices Training to build organizational capacity for leading restorative sessions and rebuilding relationships

  • Team retreats and relationship building activities that support the team to build authentic relationships and build capacity for building trust across lines of racial, ethnic, and cultural differences

  • Team experiences that help teams to co-create how they want to work together by redesigning team norms, values, policies, and practices and deciding how they will hold each other accountable for creating a work environment where everyone can thrive  

We Love Our Clients

Our leadership team entered the restorative space on the first day of our team retreat knowing we were going to be discussing challenging topics later in the week, so I was unsure if the time we were spending together was the right way to spend it given the time sensitive need for those topics. But I was wrong - it was exactly what we needed to build a strong foundation for hard conversations that grounded us in what's best for the organization in the future and created a level of openness and trust that hadn't previously existed within the team.

 

We're making the hardest decisions for the org that have probably ever existed, and are positioned to do that well because of the restorative work The Equity Practice led us in. The remainder of our retreat was intense, but the difference in how we listened to and interacted with one another was tangible.
